ANOTHER BRIEF REAL TIME UPDATE - WELCOME HOME TO A VERY COLD ADELAIDE! (13 SEPTEMBER 2017)

For any who follow our progress closely, this is but a very brief note to let you know we are back in the old home town, but not for long.

With a 'welcome home' maximum temperature of 14 degrees, driving south-westerly winds and sheeting showers, some interspersed with small hail, I think it fair to say that the Mobile Marshies are frozen to the spot and less than happy. But, as I have said before, we have rationalised the situation by treating it as good preparation for our upcoming four months plus in Tasmania.

At this stage we plan to be on our way again in the first week of October when we shall take a few days to make it across to the Mornington Peninsula where the Vogt caravan park at Mount Martha has been prepared for our arrival. We are booked onto the Spirit of Tasmania on Sunday 15 October. For Lizzie's sake I am already praying for light winds and smooth seas, but any expectation of a benign Bass Strait is, I suspect, fanciful.

Our brief sojourn in Adelaide will be busy. Liz has already been snapped up by The Memorial Hospital and is booked for shifts on all but the weekends. Yours truly has a list of repairs, replacements and re-organisation as long as my arm. Add in the usual round of medical and dental appointments, and we have a very full calendar and a very busy schedule.

But hopefully, interspersed with all these commitments, I'll be able to catch up with yet another lagged blog, and by the time we come to leave we shall, in blogtime, actually be arriving...a meeting of our virtual and real selves!

I'd better get cracking.
